Junior National Team Testing Procedures
- All candidates for the 1999 Jr. National Team programs must be individual members of USRowing and are encouraged to participate in the Testing Program outlined below.
- Results for each testing period should be submitted by fax, e-mail or mail.
- Participation is required in February, March and April for consideration for Junior National Team and summer camp programs.
- Testing Results Forms have been provided as a courtesy. Actual use of the form is not mandatory, however, providing all of the information requested is imperative.
- Please use one form per category (junior men, junior women).
- If a candidate is not able to participate for medical/personal reasons, please indicate by Rx on the current month's results.
- Appropriate fan settings are listed only as guidelines. Please adjust accordingly for the athlete to obtain the best possible score.
- Video and coxing tapes should be sent directly to National Team Coaches after these positions are announced at USRowing Convention, December 5, 1998
- Participants selected for Junior National Team summer programs will be notified by mid May, 1999.

Eligibility: Born in 1981 or later. International definition of "junior": Not having turned 18 prior to January 1 of the calendar year of competition.
Letter of Recommendation/Video: One letter of recommendation and video (10 minutes maximum with 5 minutes general rowing and 3 minutes full pressure, 28-32 stroke rate) per candidate are requested no later than April 5, 1999. Letters must be on official school or club letterhead.
Coxswain/Tapes: Coxswains should submit coxing resume, one combined race and practice session audio tape (no more than 5 minutes of practice plus one full race) and one letter of recommendation on official school or club letterhead and are due by April 5, 1999. Full size cassette recording tapes only.
Video/Coxing Tapes: Mail to: Jr. Men and Jr. Women Coaches will be announced at USRowing Annual Convention, December 5, 1998.

- USRowing membership number
- Primary Sweep Side (port, starboard) and/or Scull
- Height and weight
- Year in school
- Affiliation and coach
- Birthday (include month, day and year)
National Team Testing Results will be posted on www.row2k.com courtesy of Ed Hewitt. Individuals may also request a copy of results by mail.
