* 1999 National Team * USRowing and United States Olympic Training Center residency * 1999 Pan American Games Team * United States Olympic Committee Athlete Support programs * Nation’s Cup Team (birth year 1977 or later) * Junior National Team (birth year 1981 or later) * Pre-Elite Summer Camps (sweep and scull) * Junior National Team Selection Camps (sweep and scull) * Development Summer Camps (sweep and scull) * Junior National Team Development Camps (sweep and scull) Time standards:
Time standards were implemented in 1995-96 to assist participants in determining competitiveness for national team programs. Athletes do not have to meet minimum standards to submit scores, however, should recognize these standards are meant to be challenging and internationally competitive. Standards provide a goal to work towards; realizing it takes dedication, commitment and hard work to reach new levels. Attainment of these standards does not guarantee actual invitation to participate in programs. After a three-year evaluation of the time standards, both men and women and junior standards are undergoing further modifications from 1997-98 to more accurately reflect athlete selection. The men's development and junior standard's have been lowered. The women's standards as originally stated in 1995 have been adjusted for 1998-99 in accordance with international performances. Since 1991, national team testing scores have been evaluated and adjusted significantly in each category as a result of national team coaches, training programs and training center concepts.
