How to Enter:
Make a video. Let your imagination spin like an erg-creativity counts! Video can be of any length, any theme and any genre - general concept should be an "ergomercial" (although we all know how far out commercials can get, so there's no need to hold back too much). You are the director, actor, production and editorial crew. Make it a team project - and win yourselves a set of new oars!
Upload your video to YouTube.com and tag your video with concept2 video contest and row2k
Vote on row2k. When all the submissions are in, row2k will run a poll of the best videos. Although this is a judged contest, judges will likely peek at the popular vote. Why not express your appreciation of your favorite "piece"?
Contest Rules:
You must be 18 years old to enter contest, but parents, guardians and coaches of younger participants can enter for team/individual. You do not have to be US citizen!
Contest runs from November 15, 2006 until February 15, 2007. Video submissions must be made by midnight (EST) February 15.
Employees and families of row2k and Concept 2 are not eligible to win prize.
A team of judges from Concept 2 will choose the winning video, but online voting occurs on www.row2k.com from February 15-22.
Winners of the contest will be announced at the 2007 CRASH-B sprints, and on www.row2k.com and www.concept2.com and notified by e-mail.
The prize will be awarded to the person who registered the video. Winners are responsible for any taxes, levies, custom charges incurred.
The winner must supply Concept 2 with legal name, mailing address, birth date, and daytime and nighttime phone numbers within 30 days of notification. Prize will be shipped after receipt of this information.
By agreeing to the rules of this contest, you give Concept2 the perpetual right to use, reproduce, display, transmit, modify and otherwise make use of the video at www.concept2.com and in any and all media purpose, and you permit your name and likeness to be used in connection to the video. Concept2 and row2k recommend NCAA programs check with their compliance officer to be sure that this contest does not violate any school policies.
You acknowledge that you are not infringing on the rights of intellectual property owner, and that identifiable people who appear in your video have provided written consent to appear and have passed along all rights for usage as well.
You also hold harmless Concept 2 and row2k for any claims of any nature arising from the production of this video. So if you want to do a Johnny Knoxville imitation, don't blame us!
