Defending IRA Champion Wisconsin
Here is the updated list of declared crews (as of 2:30 EST on May 5th) for the 2009 IRA Championships.
Please note the following as it applies to the list:
Congratulations to the Varsity Heavyweight and 2nd Varsity Eights of Gonzaga University, and the Varsity Heavyweight Eights of University of California - San Diego, and the University of San Diego for earning the first automatic qualifications from the WIRA Championships, which was contested this past weekend at Lake Natoma.
The remaining Varsity Eight invitations will be tendered as followed:
A reminder that selection to the 2nd Varsity and Freshman Eight Events is predicated on first being selected to the Heavyweight Varsity Eight Event.
To be eligible for The Open Four event you must qualify both a Varsity Heavyweight Eight and a Freshman Heavyweight Eight.
The Varsity Four Event is an Open Event and all crews entered have been accepted.
The Men's National Championship Lightweight Eight event will be limited to the top seven finishers at the EARC Championships in the Men's Lightweight Varsity Eight.
The Women's National Championship Lightweight Eight Field will be determined by that event's selection committee.
