The following entries have been accepted into the Freshman Heavyweight Eight event through automatic qualification or by action of the selection committee (13): Boston University, Brown University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Gonzaga University, Harvard University, MIT, Northeastern University, Princeton University, Syracuse University, U. S. Naval Academy, University of Wisconsin, Yale University.

3. The remaining five entries in the Freshman Heavyweight Eight event will be selected from the following seven schools on the national selection call, Tuesday, May 19th: George Washington University, Oregon State University, Stanford University, University of California - Berkeley, University of California - San Diego, University of Pennsylvania, University of Washington. In the event there are two or more scratches prior to Tuesday, the field will be filled at that time.

4. The Women's National Championship Lightweight Eight Field will be determined by that event's selection committee.
