    Sun 8/10 9:30p - 12:00a Americans Michael Phelps, Katie Hoff and Brendan Hansen chase gold in the pool (LIVE ET/CT). Also, gymnasts take to the mats for women's team qualifying, with the reigning world champion U.S. led by highly talented and much-decorated teenagers Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin. And women's synchronized springboard diving finals are contested; and rowing continues with heats in the men's and women's "eight" events. NBC
    Mon 8/11 2:00a - 6:00a Women's beach volleyball features a match between Cuban and Dutch duos. Also, Hungary plays the Netherlands in women's water polo, and rowing repechage races are contested at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park (LIVE ET/CT). Loosely translated from French as "second chance," repechage is the name for the second round of competition which ensures that everyone has two chances to advance from preliminary races. USA

    Thu 8/14 10:00a - 1:00p Michael Phelps continues his rivalry in the 100m fly with countryman and Maine native Ian Crocker, who owns the world record in the event. Both men swim to advance to the semifinals. Also, U.S. beach volleyball action and rowing semifinals. NBC

    Sat 8/16 12:00p - 1:30p Teenage track cycling prodigy Taylor Phinney has had two clear cycling role models: his father, the first American to win a stage of the Tour de France, and his mother, who won the first Olympic women's road race in Los Angeles in 1984. The next chapter for the Phinney family: Taylor chases a medal in the men's individual pursuit. Also, gold medals in rowing and women's badminton. NBC
    Sun 8/17 10:00a - 12:30p Track cycling: women's individual pursuit final. Four years ago, Beijing wasn't on Sara Hammer's radar. The former pedaling prodigy - she raced competitively for the first time at age 3 - had burned out on the sport and took jobs at a cell phone store and bagel shop. But the California native snapped out of her early retirement, inspired after watching the Athens Olympics, to become a two-time world champion and gold medal contender.
