I'm a Badger, but I'm not complaining about being # 3 here. Wisconsin is expected to win some big races. The performances by Columbia and Delaware are unexpected and thus deserve some recognition. This is "Crew of the Week," not the rankings. From the voting this week, maybe this should be renamed "What crew should you have bet on last week?" The payoffs for Columbia and Delaware would have been huge.
big deal that Delware LM F8 beat navy, navy is on its way down...it seems that they peaked in the fall as they always do...yale is the best team in the league by about 10 seconds, if they were to beat them that would be impressive. Columbia was the impressive win for the week winning a cup they havent won in over 6 decades.
Columbia went from being behind throughout the race to nailing Yale by a half length in the last thirty strokes. It simply couldn't have been a better or more exciting race to watch. Kudos to Columbia for improving from 10 secs behind Yale at the chase to catching them in the spring.
The fact the the Delaware Frosh beat Navy last Saturday is proof enough that they deserve Crew of the week. That brings them to what, #1 team in the nation?
yeah well, clemson novice 8+ walked all over UVA, and set an all time record of 6:46.3!!!! This is the 3rd time clemson has won an ACC race in their history!
