Distance: 400 meters +/- Conditions: Anticipating champagne at the finish line, the Fish Creek Chix mutinied, shortened the planned 1000 meter course to 400 +/- meters. The Birthday Girl, assisted by a moderate tailwind, maintained a 40+ stroke rating throughout, annihilating the competition. A language barrier affected steering in the Can-Am 2x, and a dock at the Chameleon Restaurant impeded their course with 200 m to go. The protest was disallowed. A basketful of crabs slowed the Death Quad in the first 200 m, but pediatrician Dr. Manny in 2 seat responded well to supportive coaching from psychologist Dr. Andy in bow, and the Death Quad gained some ground after the finish of the piece. Meg in her single rowed a nice piece, but was simply outnumbered. Gold to the betting favorite, Emily the birthday girl.
