Distance: 2000m
Conditions: Very strong direct crosswind from the west with whitecaps in the more exposed second 1000m of the race course. Conditions remained unchanged throughout lightweight racing, however the afternoon heavyweight events following the lightweight varsity were called off because of the wind.
4V Race had "biblical" crosswinds and both Columbia and Navy were blown off the course and had to correct back between the buoys.
Comments: WIT Cup was previously contested between Columbia Lightweights and Rutgers Lightweights. It has been graciously returned by Rutgers to be inserted back rotation and will henceforth be contested between Columbia Lightweights and Navy Lightweights.
The Murtaugh Cup was moved to today from an earlier date when ice was still abound in the Northeast.
