Conditions: Strong tailwind with increasing chop throughout the racing.
Comments: Great day of racing on beautiful Lake Marburg, the 3rd Jewel of the Commonwealth, combining three long-standing cup high school cup races. Thank you to St. Ignatius for making the long run out from Cleveland and to both Gonzaga and St. Albans for making the trek up from Washington, DC.
(1) Foley Cup: St. Albans takes the Foley Cup with its win over Gonzaga in the 1V racing.
(2) Shrewsbury Cup: Gonzaga takes the Paul G. Hamm Trophy with its win over Central Catholic in the 1V racing, the Theresa Clair Cup with its win in the 2V racing and the Shrewsbury Cup for team points. Central Catholic takes the Gonzaga Class of 2012 SRAA Champions Cup with its win in the 1F racing.
(3) Rustbelt Catholic Championships: St. Ignatius takes the Christy C. Wiegand Cup with its win over Central Catholic in the 1V racing, the Frances Previts Cup with its win* in the 2V racing, and the Bro. Richard Grzeskiewicz, FSC Cup for team points. Central Catholic takes the Daniel P. Murphy '12 Memorial Cup with its win in the 1F racing.
