Rescue of rower ejected from boat after crab at Head of the Genesee!

Rescue of a Men's Novice 8 Rower ejected from the University of Rochester boat after a massive crab...this occurred during the Head of the Genesee on Sunday, Oct. 11. This poor stroke was ejected and started swimming for the shore after the current, wind & forward momentum moved his boat out of reach. He was quickly rescued by a sheriff's boat stationed nearby, which, after pulling him ashore, took off for the dock at full speed nearly swamping the boat in the process. Good job on the part ...

Video from Purdue Crew's spring break trip to Clemson, SC for a week of training. Our novice men got snagged on a rope hanging from a bridge and the results were something that you do not see every day. A note to the coxswains: steer us AROUND the ropes!! Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
