St. Ignatius Vs. Shrewsbury Recording/Tribute 11/6/2008
Round of the Semi Finals in the Henley Royal Regatta for Juniors in 2006.
The American National winning championship crew vs. the Brittish National winning crew.
The recording is taken from SI's coxswain.
If you're gonna flame, I will remove comments bad bois.
A note about the mood of the race. You can hear it in the start of the video, the crowd wasn't exactly ready to embrace an American crew beating their country's champions.
HRR is an amazing place of history and tradition. The sport is huge there, on the way up to the starting line, you can see people packed along the race course tryng to get a good view of the race coming down.
Make no mistake... EVERYONE, was rooting for Shrewsbury in this one.
The crew was notorious for sprinting real early and psychologically messing with the other crews both at the start and the finish.
Race plan was to stick the race plan, and not get psyched and start/end moves too early.
