2023 Outlook - "This year we have a very strong core group of seniors that have really set the bar high and led the way in building and maintaining a strong team culture. Overall this senior group along with other exceptional teammates have renewed their focus and commitment to the intensity it takes to find boat speed in the Spring and win the race. We have started a very productive winter training season, which started with a winter training trip to Newport Beach, California. The athletes are putting in good work and as long as the intensity remains high - with a commitment to continuous improvement - then the team outlook looks very fast and competitive in our first varsity eight.
"However, there is even more work to do in our development group, composed of many of our younger oarsmen and guys coming back from injury. There is a lot of work they are doing to understand and match that intensity of our upperclassmen; or to get back to that intensity following injury. Overall, we have more than two eights comfortably and looking to field a JV eight out of this group that can push the 1V. With a very aggressive race schedule, including a very early race at the Las Vegas Invite - the determination and dedication of our top athletes and seniors will be put to the test and on full display early. This will set us up nicely for fast racing this spring."

2021 Outlook - "We have a young but good group of athletes who enjoy being around each other and working hard. We were fortunate to be on campus in the Fall and Colgate admins did a phenomenal job creating a campus that was safe. The team is happy to be able to race and look forward to competing in April. Our schedule for races is a little different than previous years with a good mix of D3 and D1 duels and hopes for more later on."

2019 Finish
- Varsity 8 - Dad Vail Champs, 18th at IRAs
- Freshmen 4 - Dad Vail Champs
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 5
2020 Seniors - 5
2020 Outlook - "Colgate finished the 2018-2019 school year with a win in the Men’s Heavy 8 at Dad Vail Regatta. That qualified us for the automatic qualification to IRA. We chose to race the 8 and made the third level final. Ultimately we finished 18th in the country for men’s 8’s. This was our highest performance since becoming a varsity program in the early 2000s. Our team was 13 rowers on the roster and 2 coxswains. We graduated two great 4-year rowers in May, but gained Dad Vail gold medal winning Frosh into the Varsity squad. We will continue to work hard and bring the same level of 'feisty', as the IRA announcer called us during our race, to our 2020 Spring season."

The strong varsity group has been focused on training all winter and is ready to hit the water and compete for gold medals in every race we attend. The Varsity Team remains focused on training and will continue as a serious medal contender at all our regattas this spring."
