Before newly minted Olympians get the rings stamped into their flesh this year, they may want to consider if they might try to make another Olympics in four years - and if so, maybe pick an unobtrusive spot for the tattoo.
As reported by swimming Web site capandgoggles.com, 19 year-old British Paralympic champion Josef Craig was disqualified at the IPC European Swimming Championships for having a rings tattoo on the left side of his chest, which apparently "breaches advertising regulations."
Of course, most athletes wait until after the Olympics are finished to head to the tat parlor, as it wouldn't look good to spend early-mid August in a hospital in New Jersey recovering from hepatitis or an allergic reaction to the blue, yellow, red, and green dyes...
