I was a member of the Varsity 4+ that won ACRAS on May 29, 2011 (the date I now have tattooed on my outside arm). We worked so hard for that race, and my tattoo is a reminder that obstacles extend only as far as the mind; those who achieve success (at least in rowing) act without rationality and without fear.

I found this at the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. It's a decorative oar for a crew made up entirely of Cambridge University Nobel Prize winners. Not a bad group to be a part of!
