Junior: Mercer Challenge
October 31, 2009; Mercer Lake, NJ
Submitted by Colin Campbell.

Distance: 4500m
Conditions: Moderate cross wind in the first 1000m, getting worse and rougher in the second 1000m, diminishing in the turn around the cove and lighter cross tailwind in the last 1500m.
Comments: All varsity and JV crews competed in fours first, then got into the eights to race a second time. Both the fours race and the eights race were competitive, with MJRC setting the pace for the field in both events. The freshman/novice eights raced 3 x 1,750m with MJRC-A winning the first and the third of the intervals and Peddie winning the second. CBA was third in two of the three intervals, with MJRC-B finishing third in the first interval. All in all, a good competitive experience. Thank you to CBA for making the trip over to compete in this event, to PNRA for hosting the event, and to MJRC and Lawrenceville for the spirited competition.
